As part of our Catholic Schools Week activities, all students explored different career possibilities. Our youngest students in PreK dressed-up in a costume representing a career they may one day wish to pursue. Students in Grades K-5 enjoyed visits from school parents who shared their careers - among them were ER and ICU nurses, attorneys, a oral surgeon's assistant, a graphic designer, a helicopter paramedic, a home health nurse, a physical therapist, and a finance specialist. Grades 6-8 explored possible future careers by taking a career aptitude survey of their interests and personality traits, which matched them to various career clusters. The students then learned about the educational requirements and salary potential for careers - something many had never before thought about!
