What better way to learn about one of our nation's great states than to build a float celebrating all things representative of that state!? That is exactly what our 4th and 5th Grade students did to demonstrate what they learned in their Social Studies unit on the 50 states. The costumed students processed through a parade route populated by their families, fellow HTS students, school staff and administration who waved American flags and cheered for their favorite floats. After the parade, the students individually presented their state facts to a panel of judges. What a terrific learning experience for our students thanks to their Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Pirraglia!
